BHGS aims to process and despatch an order on the day or, at the latest, the day after it has been placed. Small items will normally be sent via first or second class post. If the goods are being sent by courier it will generally take a maximum of 3 days to be with you. We will however send you an email (if an email address is supplied) to inform you of when your goods have been despatched and when they are likely to be delivered.
Owing to the unpredictable nature of courier deliveries we're unable to offer any indication of what time your goods will be delivered. The reason behind this is that drivers' schedules change constantly throughout the day due to traffic and other circumstances beyond their control.
Yes. For customers who are in a hurry for their goods we offer next day carriage for an additional charge (see shipping costs) on top of the standard delivery charge. Orders need to be placed before 12pm for this service to be valid. Please select the appropriate option when ordering online or inform the person taking the order by telephone.
Yes. For customers where delivery is not possible during the week they can choose to pay an additional charge (see shipping costs) on top of their current delivery charge to receive their goods delivery on a Saturday. Orders need to be placed before 11am on the Friday for this service to be valid. Please select the appropriate option when ordering online or inform the person taking the order by telephone.
BHGS's goods deliveries do not extend to areas beyond the UK's mainland, including Northern and Southern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Shetlands, the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man. However, we are prepared to send smaller items in the post to the above offshore locations but the postal cost will be charged accordingly. Offshore buyers should check with us before placing an order.
Yes we can deliver goods to a separate address; we do however require a landline number to be provided in order for us to confirm the delivery details.
We do deliver to homes and not just businesses. Our couriers however will require a signature for the delivery. NB If nobody is home when the courier arrives - see 'Failed Deliveries' in our Returns Policy below.
Some of our goods are bulky and heavy in nature and become more expensive to ship with couriers. Unlike many other competitors we do not incorporate delivery costs in the price of our goods so in essence our costs remain competitive with market prices.
Yes if you inform us at time of ordering that you want to collect we can make the necessary arrangements. We do require 24 hours notice and prefer a mid-morning time period.
Yes we do accept cash on collection or payment via credit/debit card. We do however prefer pre-payment before you arrive to enable us to get the paperwork ready and make the collection as quick as possible for you.
Where a delivery has been attempted on more than one occasion and failed and then the goods returned to BHGS Limited, the cost of the attempted deliveries and return postage will be deducted from any refunds available.
Where a delivery has been refused and returned to BHGS Limited (except damaged or faulty goods) the cost of the attempted deliveries and return postage will be deducted from any refunds available.
If you receive any goods which are faulty or any goods which you did not order in the first place you may return them to us for a replacement or full refund. You should not return again goods without first contacting us and obtaining a goods return number.
If you are not satisfied with any purchase from BHGS Ltd you may return any products back to us within 7 working days of receipt providing that the product is in a resalable condition, this means that the product is not damaged, has not been used in any way and that the product is complete with the original pristine condition packing (we recognise that sometimes this may not be possible and will remain at the company’s discretion).
For all returns, except where the item is faulty or the order was wrongly sent, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to us. We can arrange to collect the products from you, but the cost of this will be charged to you and will be deducted from any refund to you. You must ensure that you obtain a signature or proof of posting certificate for any goods collected or posted back to BGHS.
Please note that if we subsequently find that there is no fault with the product then the original postage/carriage cost will be deducted from your refund also.
